What is wcJava Chat?
wcJava Chat is a replacement for the WinServer Java Chat Applet. It has the following options:
1. New user interface
2. Support for smileys
3. Clickable hyperlinks
4. Sounds
5. Persistence
6. Logging (Capture)
7 Instant messaging
8. Invite user to chat
Starting the Applet.
After starting the wcJava Chat Applet a window with the text "The applications digital signature cannot be verified. Do you want to run the application?" appears. Choose run to start the applet with all options enabled. If you choose cancel the applet will run with the following options disabled:
- Clickable hyperlinks
- Persistence
- Logging
wcJava Chat Options.
The following screenshot shows you that `text smileys` in the chat area are replaced with ´image smileys´. Also all entered hyperlinks are replaced with real hyperlinks. When you click on a hyperlink in the chat area the webpage will open in the operating systems default web browser.

Below you will find a table with an overview of some of the wcJava Chat functions, shortkeys and menu options.

Ctrl+X | Cuts selected text and places it on the system cliipboard. |

and select copy. |
Ctrl+C | Copies selected text and places it on the system cliipboard. |

and select paste. |
Ctrl+V | Pasts the text on the system clipboard to the input text field.. |
| Select All | Context menu, select all. | Ctrl+A | Selects all the text in the chat area or input text field. |

| Click three times in the chat area or the input text field. | Selects the whole line. | ||
| Clear | Edit, Clear. | Clears the chat area. | |
